In our Avy II course our group dug a pit on a 20 degree E/NE slope at 8,160ft. Hand hardness test was mostly right side up except for ground facets up to 35cm from the ground. We noticed a couple layers of faceting throughout the pit but they appeared to be rounding. Compression test results were CTN. On the ski out we experienced variable snow conditions with some crusty layers in more sun exposed areas and beneath trees. We skied a SE aspect at or below 25 degrees and did not travel or ski in any avalanche terrain.
