Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Toured up Tweener Ridge to Avalanche Peak and skied the North aspect on a 33 degree slope. Weather was clear and around freezing trending warmer into the afternoon with light winds. Snow skied well on Northern aspects but had a crust on the surface while riding back to the highway on the Southern aspects that had received direct sunlight for the last few days. No observed signs of instability.
