Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Cold day was 3 degrees at highway in the morning. Never really seem to warm up much. By noon the wind had really started to come in blowing strong to moderate especially along the ridgelines. Was trying to snow a little throughout the day. Snow was being transported around. Our skin tracks were being filled pretty quickly a long the ridgeline. Had some small shooting cracks from the stiff wind slabbed snow along the ridgeline.
Skied conservative degreed slopes. Still very hesitant to get on anything to steep yet. Snow pack does to appear to be gaining strength before these storms come in.
There will definitely be new wind slabs and storm slabs forming with these storms.
