Even with a small load this snowpack was becoming reactive. Additional loading will cause rapidly decreasing stability.
Overcast skies clearing in the late afternoon. Strong winds blowing up high, digging down into middle elevation and moving plenty of snow.
Observed two small recent wind slab avalanches. Intentionally triggered one small wind slab that broke 30cm deep, 10m wide. Debris looked like a D1, but it would've been a nasty slide to get caught in.
