Comments:
This avalanche happened at some point yesterday after 9am and before 8 AM this morning. When I was out yesterday we did not notice any avalanches in this area. It looks like it may have been a little bit wind loaded and naturally triggered. There were no ski tracks on gladiator that we could see. The slope is probably northwest but may be west northwest and right below the ridge line probably around 9400-9500 feet.
None reported
There was significantly more sun effect today when skiing. The west slopes had about an inch crust on them in the areas that were exposed to the sun. You could still find powder in the shaded trees but most everything that had any sun exposure from the south or west aspects were pretty crusty. The snow was a much denser consistency today as well after having taken so much heat during the day yesterday.
