Slab avalanche that failed near the mouth of Smiley Ck on a ENE-facing slope near 9,000'. The crisp looking crown indicates that this slide occurred near the end of our recent storms.

Comments:

This avalanche appears to have failed near the tail end of the last storm cycle (2/16?). Based on the apparent crown depth it could have failed at either the 2/11 or 1/27 interface. This path ran previously (early Jan).
