Avalanche Characteristics
# of Avys:
4
Aspect:
N (NE,N,NW)
Start Zone Elev:
9600ft
Size:
D2
Type:
U-Unknown
Trigger:
N-Natural
Depth:
1.5ft
Width:
980ft
Comments:
Some of the slides were very wide, some were less than 200' wide. There's a high likelihood the slides failed on the old April crust/interface, possibly on the same FC layer responsible for several avalanches on shady slopes at 9000-9800'.
