We dug a full profile pit in the Baldy Snow Study Plot which is more representative of backcountry terrain than in bounds terrain. The main weak interface of concern was at 35cm (12/13 layer) where large 1-3mm facets become slightly smaller above it. We had 2 CT's which failed on isolation on this layer and PST's were sensitive at this interface as well.
