Had good light early then fair light as some high clouds moved in. Unfortunately, the light on slopes most expected to have avalanche activity (shady) was not ideal. Fresh avalanches releasing near the end of the storm would have been visible, but mid-storm/partially filled crowns would have been likely to be missed.
Overall, I was very surprised by the lack of visible activity. I only saw two freshish slides that occurred during the tail end of the storm from the northern Sawtooths to Copper. Since an avalanche cycle seems to be a given the snowpack and loading, my guess is that most slides released mid-storm. Crowns were either filled in and/or I did not have good enough light or optics to see them.
Photos in the media gallery are for reference and do not have avalanche activity that I can see.
