No signs of avalanche activity on Copper Mountain or surrounding area. Between 6-8" of light to medium density new snow, excellent ski conditions. Few small isolated wind slabs. Large hanging cornices appear to previously had water eroding the base causing them to become partially detached. Beneath the new storm snow the pack was very saturated in areas below cornices, weak overnight freeze didn't seem to penetrate. The sun came out mid-afternoon and conditions started to deteriorate but snow remained supportable. Observed a few small point releases in steep north areas near rocks, etc.
