Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Surface Hoar, fairly isolated on north to northwest aspects under clear skies on a 15 degree slope. Observed at 9:00 AM with very clear and calm conditions with an air temperature of around 22 degrees. Surface hoar crystals measured about 2mm to 5 mm, standing straight. Unknown if SH existed on steeper aspects but the day's high temperature and solar strength could have easily melted it away.
