Beautiful morning up on the pass. 1-3 inches of new low-density snow (seemed like more on the Sawtooths side) had fallen overnight on top of the settled, supportable storm snow making for excellent skiing on low-angle terrain. Really no need to go into avalanche terrain when the low angle stuff is skiing as well as it is. I felt some isolated collapses while skinning, but was expecting to feel more than I did. Snow near the top of the Cross along the ridgeline was pretty wind-affected but not noticeably cracking.
