This was a quick late-day trip to check in on the amount of melt going on. There was water at/near the surface of the snowpack from highway level up to about 7,000, and moist/wet snow up to about 8,000'. Hard to tell if this was the product of some intense ambient solar+cloud thermal blanket or if it had actually rained a spit. Snow was completely dry above about 8,000'. This interface might be problematic, if we weren't about to bake/melt the thing over the coming days.
