Comments:
We triggered two small windslabs on the SW side of Senate Peak, one intentionally ski cut just below the ridge line and a second lower on the rib (we stayed up on the rib and out of the terrain trap gully. Neither were deep or large, but the snow was beginning to consolidate and not at all well bonded to the crust below.
None reported
We debated skiing into the shadier north but being on the summit at 9:00 and poking around in the snow on the south we felt it was unconsolidated and unlikely to move in a large scale slab. None the less, we struck to the top of the rib skiers right of the main gully. The second piece of windslab we cut off the edge of the rib was not thick enough to knock someone off their feet, but did run 100+ feet down the gully. Near the bottom of the rib, the snow was rapidly warming and consolidating, but not at all well bonded to the crust underneath. The ski quality was phenomenal, but we felt that we wouldn't have wanted to be any later in the day.
